Is it normal? pain in my ribs!

I've had this condition for at least two or three years. I've had pain in my ribs from the front to the back and it feels like someone is squeezing me in that area and sometimes it's throbbing pain. It hurts the most when I lay down. Sometimes I can't even lay on my side because of it. It mostly hurts just right under my boobs. Is this normal?

Extra note: I have not broken any ribs.

I think I have the same thing but I don't feel the pain in my back. Just in my rib area and it feels like its under my ribs and its a shocking pain. I sometimes take my hand and push it underneath my ribs and rub and it usually goes away. I get it a lot when I'm working out or I'm out of breath.

  • I'm not sure.

I think you need to see a chiropractor!

I have the same thing from time to time but it only lasts about an hour and they are few and far between. How often and what time of day does it happen? It may have something to do with your matress, or way you sleep because when I'm at a friends house is normally when it happens to me, when I sleep on the floor/ couch.

Well the pain wasn't as bad then. It came and went and I could handle it on my own. I guess I'm just paying the price now. XD

            ahh.

i'd recommend web md. or seeing if there's a clinic in your area that handles people without money/insurance

It could be something to do with your spine.

I recently found out that I have scoliosis and when I do things it really hurts. Especially, when I try to sleep. It's like a sharp compression.

I suggest you go to your doctor and get a X-Ray.

    Good Luck!
