Is it normal or a good thing that i attract cocky guys?

I noticed that I attract guys who are really confident in themselves and almost cocky. My current bf is a hardworking man, knows what he wants, and knows what he can achieve and what he is capable of which is why sometimes he can get a little carried away and explain how "too good" he is in general for this or that. It's weird though because he comes off as this family guy and humble. Like I said he works hard and he's been working hard since a little kid. Everything he has he's earned it. So yes in a way he's conceited but he has a reason unlike my ex. Omg my ex was cocky and believed he deserved the best but did he actually work for it? Not really. I would always tell him to get a job during college because hello you need to money but he basically thought he was better than working at Target. So everything he would buy me and spend on me (dinner, movie, entertainment, gas) was from his allowance from his parents. I felt icky like basically his parents are buying me all these things.

But regardless, these two have one thing in common: they're full of themselves. I was happy to have met my current bf because he's everything I want but every time his cockiness peaks, I get annoyed and reminds me of my ex; how too good he thinks he is, what he thinks he deserves, etc. In general, I get hit on by cocky guys. I get turned on by humble guys. Yet, I notice I get turned off by guys who are "slow" and not that ambitious or successful. So I guess subconsciously I like cocky men? Sometimes I wanna tell my bf you are not that great but 1) he is in my eyes and 2) he'll get pissed.
