Is it normal when you have around 180 facebook friends, all of which you actually know, that only 2 write on your wall and 2 write you a private message to wish you a happy birthday (the others don't call or text at all)? And you don't meet them during the day.
Hmm, remember people can be a bit thoughtless and self-centred. Not excusing that behaviour, just pointing it out. One of my friends totally forgot my last Birthday : / Anyway... for whenever it was - Happy Birthday!

I remember a couple years ago someone told me that and I said "it's my birthday?" I had actually forgotten my own birthday. They don't have as much meaning after 21.

People on Facebook care more about receiving than giving, so don't feel melodramatic. At least your kin and best friend didn't forget to wish you 'congratulations' on your birthday (at least I don't think so). It can get lonely when something like that occurs, but it's better to acknowledge this yearly event by yourself than to mope about it. Think of it this way: You've fought the odds to stay alive for another year, that's worth celebrating. Yet again, happy birthday and I wish you many more. :)

And yes, I think it's normal. I never write on people's Facebook unless they're a close friend, which means I only write on about seven or eight people's walls for birthdays.

I'm sure that it hurts but be glad that at least some people remembered. It's certainly better than NO ONE remembering. Also, you should give some of your friends the benefit of the doubt, they could have forgotten and doing so doesn't have to mean that they don't care. They could have a lot of stuff that's going on in their lives keeping them preoccupied.

It's pretty normal, I only got one happy birthday this year. From someone I barley talk to. Most people I know now don't use a Facebook now, it's either they don't go on it anymore or their to lazy to say happy birthday. I rather say happy birthday in person than over the internet
On my last birthday, the girl I liked forgot my birthday even though on her birthday I called her and was the ONLY ONE TO REMEMBER hers

I loathe a happy birthday on facebook... not really, but I don't care. 4 is average for me.

Depends on how much you go on facebook. My boyfriend gets about...4 from close family members cause he's never on there. I'm on facebook a lot and my page is pretty full every year. I mean, why post happy birthday on someones wall if you don't think they're even going to read it?

Trust me, it took me time to learn that myself. I took it personally when people didn't wish me a happy birthday.
Then I realized I never wish any of those people a happy birthday either, and don't really have any right to say anything.
Maybe you do, but even if you do, other people have more to worry about than wishing you a happy birthday. Out of those 180 people, you don't know everything that's going on in their lives. As long as you maintain a good relationship with them overall, that should be the only thing that matters.
The human brain can only remember something like 200 people at once, so I know for a fact you're not close friends with all 180 of those people.
