Is it normal old people piss me off

I don't hate old people, they play a great role in society (being old, collecting Social Security and eating tapioca pudding) but lately they've been irritating the piss out of me.

How?

They parade around on their rascals and wave their canes in the air and complain about not getting enough respect from the younger generation. Then proceed to DEMAND respect. But then when it comes to them actually giving respect, they are completely incapable if doing such

I seem to remember a day at work when this old, half ton troll on a scooter rudely called me over to her because she wanted to know the price of bananas. (The price tag was right in front of her in bold print) I guess she ignored it because she felt like being a pain in the ass. And she sure was.

I told her the price, she couldn't hear me the first time. I told her again but louder this time and she STILL couldn't hear me. So I yelled it. She then said "You don't have to yell" then she mumbled something about me under her breath. I asked her what she said and she said "Nothing" then proceeded to insult my mother and make a racial remark. At this point I'm furious. But I managed to keep calm. I just wanted to throw scorching hot macaroni in her face and beat her with a bag of apples. Not oranges because they don't leave bruises. I want to leave her a reminder of my fury because of her lack of respect. But I kindly said "Have a nice day." And walked away. I'm just so mad, I actually feel like I need to see a doctor or something because I'm so pissed. At this point I just really don't know what to do. I try to be nice to these ancient relics, but I just don't know if I can do it anymore.

Advice? Please before I end up in jail. I'm on the verge of losing it.

I was reading this post and taking it seriously. Until you mentioned throwing hot macaroni in her face.
I have just got up from the floor because I have been rolling around laughing. I have tears streaming down my face.
I hope to God you are the original person who threw macaroni in their co workers face. As Wigs said, the macaroni monster will be after you.

I think that there is a certain age, for many, at which they just don't give two shits about what others think anymore.

However, I usually deal with more crap from entitled young assholes whose parents have yet to wean them off their financial tits and snooty, inconsiderate rich people that think that they're above having to respect others and that all of us peeons should kiss their asses and be grateful to do it. Hella worse than old people who don't give a shit.

It's fine, the older you get the more you hate the youngsters. So the hate of young from old balances the hate of old from young, we all end up hating each other and everything is nice and equal :)

Firstly, excuse me while I try not to die of laughter.
You just about wrapped up my entire life's worth of opinions on old people in a few paragraphs.
Some old people are fly as hell, though. Shame it's only about 2% of them.
But you know the worst thing about old people? Their driving...

This is lame. Have you no self control? People of all ages have the behavior you describe.

I had a lovely conversation with a chainsmoking grandma with a walker while waiting for the bus. She was the only one who showed me any respect. It was a crowded stop and the old lady and pregnant woman were pushed aside and last to get on the bus. I do not expect special treatment, but some people are just horrible in public.
