I think it's normal that you don't want your family to know. There are things about me that I don't tell my family. I would just wait and see who you eventually feel is "the one"....then decide if you want to share.

It seems that pansexual has a few different definitions. It would be nice to know what yours is. You probably wouldn't need to tell your family unless you find yourself in a dating situation where you would want your significant other to be invovled with your family. Then it's a matter of what is more important to you....being yourself, or the approval of your family.
