Is it normal not to sleep for long periods of time?

Hey everyone, my name is Ethan and I think I have a sleeping problem. I stay up for days on end without sleep and the only time that I truly feel tired is right after I wake up. I play WOW and fiddle around with computer programming in my spare time(which I have a lot of) but I never seem to be tired except for the hour after I wake up. So, in conclusion, Is it normal to not sleep for long periods of time?

Ummm, dope actually helps you get to sleep by making you relaxed and sleepy. Get your facts straight.

I've been wondering the same thing but I usually get about 2-3 hours of sleep in a 24 hour time frame but sometimes I don't get my recharge and stay up 60-72 hours but the longest I managed without freaking out was 98 hours no naps nothing just me and Sims 2 lol no it's not exactly normal but then again what is normal. Some people have shorter rest periods and then again psychopaths don't really sleep so I hear they just have "resting periods" where their metabolism slows down like that of a sleeping person

  • That's pretty impressive, the longest I lasted was about 2 days without sleep. I had mild hallucinations too (not visual, but I kept hearing In A Gadda Da Vidda in the background. It would go away when I tried to concentrate on it, though).
