Is it normal not to have cravings for alcohol while in aa?

I am in AA, but feel alone in my situation because I don't think I have an inability to stop after the first drink. Should I be in Al-Anon instead? I do upon occasion drink too much, and have even gotten myself in social trouble with coworkers. But that was a year ago. I did the 90 meetings in 90 days program of AA, had a sponser, and even he seemed baffled by my lack of withdrawl symptoms. My biggest emotional issues arise in an inability to grasp my anger with life's many disapointments. Can anyone help me discover what may be my situation?

Not craving a drink, to an alcoholic, becomes an excuse to drink (I'm fine! I don't even think about it...don't want it) are words I've heard shortly before a relapse.

Sorry to double dip here. I realized I didn't fully answer your question

If there's no problem, then why are you in AA? I will dare to suggest something straight fr the big book, paraphrased in my own wording. If you choose to drink again, try stopping abruptly after three drinks. Try it again if you must. That will pinpoint whether or not you have the ability to stop on your own. If not, you are likely an alcoholic and need some way to stop drinking. But my guess is that you are right where you should be.
