Is it normal not to be judgemental these days?

No matter how serious of an atrocity someone does, I almost never call anyone evil or wish they would die these days. I always try to find out what caused the person to culminate into doing such savagery rather. This applies to even the most heinous acts like rape and such. If there was an evil man who raped animals and children, I would feel disgusted and agree that what he did was barbaric and disgusting and should be accounted for, but I wouldn't instantly call him a bad person. Instead I'd think "What the ****ing hell made him escalate to this" rather than "THIS GUY IS A FUCKING MONSTER AND DESERVES TO DIE A SLOW PAINFUL DEATH". Obviously that person needs to pay and should be kept far away from public for its safety, but I still wouldn't judge him as a person.

Is this normal for someone nowadays?

I've heard it said that there are no good or evil actions in the world; everything just is and we define them as good or bad based on our morals.

I share your fascination with people who commit heinous acts. I wish I had the money to go to college so that I could become a criminal psychologist in order to analyze people like that.

I'm the same way. I'll be the first to defend a child rapist. Good non-judgmental people like us are few and far between. So I'd say it is FAR from "normal" not to be judgmental.
