Is it ever possible that a person is trying not to be someone's best friend so it's easier to date later on? as in not be "friendzoned". does anyone do that?

    But.. If you want to be with her/him, just tell them how you feel. There's no point wasting time and doing all that work. What if they don't feel the same way? =Waste of time.
    What if they Want to be with you too? =Waste of time.

    I meant still be friends, but not "bestfriends." I was wondering because of how people get all "friendzoned" by being bestfriends and such.
