Is it normal not drinking the bottom of the bottle

I live alone and drink from the bottle, saves me having to wash cups. When there's only a little bit left in the bottle I won't drink it because I think that that's where all the backwash is and even though it is my backwash it still grosses me out, anyone else like this?

I don't backwash but I'm sure that inevitably there will always be some backwash and the thought of drinking my own backwash still disgusts me. Changing subjects I worked at McDonalds when I was a teen and one day at the end of a shift I took a drink of coke and took a sip and felt something weird in my mouth so I spat it out and it was a dead fly! Gross!

It's one thing if someone else drank from it, but you're the only one drinking from it. Try not to backwash and problem solved.

I drink from bottles often. I usually take a close look at the bottom of the bottle before I drink it.

I don't drink from bottles I find that pretty disgusting. However whenever I have a can of soda or something I don't finish it so yeah I feel you bro.

I often drink from bottles too. I obviously never do if someone is going to be staying. I always finish the bottle, though. Except for once when a fly flew in the bottom.

I'm sure that if you drink from a bottle, without putting your mouth all the way over the top, you don't get 'backwash'.
