Is it normal normal to live with your parents if you're 43

I have a friend who is 43 and still lives with his parents. They are about 75 yrs old and they let me crash there all the time. The only thing is we can't drink or smoke and lights out at 8 pm. He tells me that once chicks know he still is with his folks they break with him. He is the cooleset dude i know. I used to buy pot from him back in high school.

    If he was taking care of his elderly parents that would be one thing. But if he is smoking pot and drinking all the time he is a loser.

    I am sure he is good company friend and child to his ageing parents so I think it is quite normal: Long term he may have doubts about having done it as he will have to make a life of his own. if he finds it difficult to have a relationship because they leave him once he say he is still living at home then that maybe the draw back for him: but I think there is nothing wrong with with him wanting to live at home

    It's one thing if he's taking care of his parents or isn't financially stable. If not, he should've left the nest a long time ago.

    If he is 45 and still living with his parents he is a loser. So yeah its understandable people would break up with him becuase of that. He cant say "Im in college" or something like maybe a 20 year old. He cant say "I am saving up to move out either." If he is 40 he has had plenty of time to get his shit together.
