Is it normal normal to lie this much?

People who lie, even when it's obvious usually don't bother me, their stories, though obvious lies are usually interesting, so I typically just go with it, and pretend to believe them but when they lie all the time, and it's over the top it starts to annoy the shit out of me.

There's this guy at my college who continues to sit at the table with my friends at the cafeteria everyday, and he can't seem to open his mouth without lying. I'm not sure why he keeps sitting with us but he does, anyways his lies just get progressively worse.

He started off with stuff like, he once dated quadruplets and didn't know because they were screwing with him, another time he talked about how he got a cop fired, then he said he's a diagnosed sociopath, then he wen't crazy and attempted a double murder suicide over the summer that got him locked up in a mental ward for a week and the whole time he was in a straight jacket in a padded room. Then he said he wants to be a pilot but said he can't get a license because he's a diagnosed sociopath.

After all this ridiculous crap, he continued to say that he's not allowed to be in the same house as someone who owns a firearm because he's a sociopath, at this point I called bull shit, literally I said ''bull shit, that's not true'', he tried to argue with me saying it was true but I just kept saying bull shit. A day or so after that, everyone at the table was talking about how little sleep we'd been getting, and a girl at the table talked about how she once stayed up 4 and a half days, to which the guy said yah I once stayed up 14 days. At which point I called bull shit again saying the human body can only go 9-11 days without sleep before you die.

Anyways is it normal normal for someone to tell so many obvious lies all the time.
