Is it normal normal the bottom of my toe is swollen?

On the bottom of my feet I have calluses on the bottom of my toes and heels. Its mostly my two big toes and my heels. They don't usually bother me and some calluses are normal. I woke up this morning and my right toe started to hurt. Its hurting under the right callus and looks swollen and bigger then my other toe. What could be wrong with it?(calluses: a roughing of skin after being rubbed against repeatedly) I not sure if I spelled that right.

    You have bad shoes, change them. If it gets worse see a doctor.
