Is it normal no one at work knows who the boss is?

We get messages from an email entitled yourboss@[our workplace](dot)com - that's the only way we know for certain that we're talking to our boss.

There's roughly 80 employees and it constantly puts pressure on us to be nice to everyone (in fear that the person might be the boss). IIN?

    This sounds like the beginning of some weird movie where it turns out that the boss never existed and your whole life is a total fabrication.

      Either that or your boss is Skynet, Nyarlathotep, Dick Cheney, Xenu or some other inhuman entity controlling the company for some inscrutable (but doubtless diabolic) purpose.
