Basically i found porn and a rubber minge in my colleagues filing cabinet at work. His internet history also contains lots of strange fetish porn sites and google searches. He works for a university and has a wife and kids so it would destroy his life if he were to get sacked. should i ignore it, or is it normal??
Porn's great but not at work most companies will say your ass if cought.
No it is not normal at work. He has a bit of a monkey on his back if he is looking at it while he is supposed to be working.
He should do that at home on his home computer; it is never wise to mix one's business and pleasure.
I would stay quite but clear his files it his history. Then tell him you your self have been warned for looking at porn by the boss. This way he save's face you save your friendship and possibly his job.

regardless of you using their office and computer, you should not be snooping through their history and filing cabinet. shame on you.
Dude it's better you talk to him about it or may be he needs help.If he ask you how you knew just tell a white lie.look at this as if you knew something bad is about to happen to someone and you tell them before it's happens.its like you SAVED HIS LIFE.
Agreed, why were you in his things? And there is no reason to tattle on him unless you catch him wanking off at work or if you see child porn on his computer. Otherwise just leave it alone.
