Is it normal my uncle always threatens to spank me?

My favorite Uncle is a nice, jolly guy, and I like him a lot, and he sees me as his favorite niece. But one thing that has always bugged/puzzled me is he likes to tease a lot about spanking me. Like everything I did, he used to say "you naughty girl, I'm going to spank you." Or "you really need a bouncing, don't you?" This went on until I was about 16. Now that I am 18, he still likes to pretend to be mad at me, and see if it intimidates me, but has avoided the "s" word. So I am just wondering, if it is normal in some families to like to tease in this fashion, or if it showed that he has a spanking fetish?

    I don't know about a spanking fetish, but it depends on your relationship with each other. If it made you uncomfortable, it's possible that there might've been some motive behind it or something. But if you didn't feel threatened by it, then it was probably harmless.

      Thanks. Very good reply. And well, it made me feel a bit weird and curious, but it didn't really bother me as much as it amused me. Frankly, I am surprised that this post was only voted 25% normal...I thought it would be thought more acceptable as it was quite obviously humorous threats.

        You're welcome, and thank you :}. Curious..as in, you're wondering why he's saying it to you? If you found it to be amusing, it sounds harmless. I don't have any uncles close to me being that they all live in different states, but I'd think an uncle repeatedly insisting his grown niece needs a 'spanking' may be out of the ordinary given that nowadays when people hear that word, our minds tend to jump directly to something sexual when dealing with two adults. Since you reacted rather positively do it, I'm sure it was intended to be humorous and non-threatening/non-sexual.

    Uncles don't flirt or talk about sex or spankings with nieces. He's a POS, find a new fav uncle.
