Is it normal my speech is cleaner than my brothers?

I try not to cuss especially not in front of my mother and father. However my younger sibling cusses a lot as well as in front of my mom and dad.

I sensor my speech and will will go out of my way to alter my speech even when its the legitimate term for something. Such as a "Woman's area" or "Males area".

Just to avoid being vulgar. When my younger sibling use to cuss in front of my father he use to be proud of him. When I did it I got grounded. So how normal is it to cuss in-front of your parents and NOT care?

Also we are both adults now.

    I think it depends on what your idea of disrespect is and how you view vulgar language. For instance some people, like it seems you do, tend to see swear words as disrespectful or even lowly, while others view them just like any other word used to emphasize emotion or meaning. Neither points of view are wrong, it just depends on how both you and the person you're communicating with feels about it.

    In my family we all curse but it's not seen as disrespectful in the least. It's never done in an angry way and never directed at one another- it's just a convenient way to get a point across when talking about something that incites strong emotion that everyone can easily understand.

    On the other hand, sometimes people who curse excessively do so in an attempt to seem "tough" or, in the case of adolescents, more mature. Ironically, it has the opposite effect and can make one seem linguistically stunted.

    Anyway, as long as your parents aren't offended by it and it's not excessive or for no real reason, I think it's normal.

    I censor myself around elderly people and small children.

    It's cool when old people cus and talk about vulgar things though, my kinda people.
