Is it normal my sex life is now boring

Hi guys, me and my boyfriend have been together for over a year now and I love him to bits,the only problem is that our sex life has gotten pretty boring. Don't get me wrong sometimes it is amazing! But most of the time it feels like we are doing it because there is nothing else to do! We have a healthy sex life, a couple of times a week plus all the naughty things inbetween but I would love to spice things up a little so it doesn't go to shit... I love him and sex absolutely doesn't effect how I feel about him but I guess whAt I'm asking is girls, what are some things you do in the bedroom that makes it more exciting and guys, what turns you on in the bedroom?? I'm open to all answers but just remember I'm not a porn star!!
