Is it normal my scratch wont go away. I got a cat scratch and I have had it for a bit. It was big at first than it got smaller. Its still swollen and red though and its a lot smaller but wont go away completely. What should I do? I been ignoring it but it sometimes will just start hurting again.

    Please see a doctor and soon too! It sounds like you have some form of infection because under normal circumstances, the scratch and your symptoms should have healed by now.

      No, but until I read the details I assumed he/she meant his or her ITCH wouldn't go away.

      Cat scratches are a dirty wound, prone to infection.
