My roommate is kind of a recluse, he doesn't go outside. This isn't the problem, but he plays a lot of video games, and EVERY GAME he plays he plays as a female character. All he does is play games as a female character and watch anime outside of work, and it's kinda irking me. I'm worried about the guy, is it normal he does this?
I'm the female version of this.

I find it normal. If you don't want him, perhaps he can be my roommate. :D
I once headed a nice explanation about that: if you spend hours staring at a character on your screen and imagining them do stuff, they may as well be pretty members of your preferred sex...
I'm guessing he doesn't have a girlfriend either. People with poor social skills are often attracted to fiction and fantasy.
That's not weird, lots of guys do that.
Everything in moderation though...
Video games and Anime= my idea of hell. I'm sorry but, he needs to get out more. Life is short and he is wasting it away.
How is he wasting his life if he is doing something that he enjoys?

Actually, after reconsidering the point myself, I've changed my mind. The OP's friend IS wasting his life away if that's all he does is play videogames all the time and nothing else. As much as I love videogames and playing them, I'm also a believer in moderation too. I just get a little defensive sometimes when it comes to my hobby :)
Yeah that's true. He's welcome to play video games but to some extent only. Some people just do not realise how precious life is and how short it is. If our parents decided to have sex even one second later or before they actually did, we wouldn't be here because another sperm would have reached the egg. It's an absolute miracle we are here and we should get the most out of it.

Guys play female characters in games one to no wat its like 2 cuz like in the game skyrim alot of the armors on females r kinda rravealing and 3 if hes plain online games like runescape hes probly scaming someone or something like that
He seems like he is very content with his fictional word. No doubt he has very strong feelings associated with his hobbies. Some of us have a greater niche in fictional reality than this actual reality.
It's normal for him to be a recluse, some people prefer seeing pretty women on screens and indulging in fictions rather than going out and doing what others do. I'm sure you're just as strange to him. But hey, if he pays rent, no worries, you basically have the place to yourself XD
I see why it would raise questions about the guy, but I don't see why it would be a big deal.
Just ask him some simple questions without being offending to him, if you want to know so badly.
That's his preference. If he's not bothering you, don't worry about it. He obviously is fine with choices.
