    Actually, you probably are.

It takes about 6 months for the virus to show up on blood tests after you have contracted it.

It could take longer, depending on your metabolic rate and how hard your body tries to fight the virus, but there is no such thing as being immune to HIV and for the typical populus, 6 months is about how long it takes to show up on blood tests.

    Good luck.

unfortunately, this. most likely thing. i also get tested from time to time, and the recommended waiting time between unprotected intercourse and test is up to 9 month for the test to be reasonably accurate.

also: your "bf" didn't tell you until AFTER fucking you without condom? seriously? what, he forgot? I'd kill that bastard...

ah well...evolution and natural selection at work. can't blame it. it's a great process.

If it provides any solace to you, TerryVie, if she tests positive for HIV, LEGALLY her boyfriend could be prosecuted for "Voluntary Manslaughter", "1st Degree Murder" or "Conspiracy" considering he knowingly transmitted a disease to her that will more than likely be responsible for ending her life. The severity of the charge will depend on the jurisdiction and the prosecuting attorney she deals with.

Even if it does not kill her (like say, she gets killed in an auto accident), it will have been responsible for her death anyway. She could also file a civil case and recover damages from the civil case but considering that, from the sounds of what I am reading here, she might not have the money or legal knowledge to do so...

very understandable. as said, i think it's just natural selection at work -_-
so thanks for providing solace, but...well...

that's kind of hypocritical from me, since i also have unprotected ONS sometimes, but at least i am aware of the risk and for me it's a concious decision, however stupid it may seem, and i get tested annually just in case-

But if i found out some guy KNOWINGLY infected me, i swear to god that he will not have time to get prosecuted in the time that remains for him on this planet. That killing thing was meant literally, he killed me already, i'd return the favor and end him before going to prison. And spend the rest of my days contemplating in a cell. -_-

              One-Night-Stand

usually i AM having the guys use condoms(also always have them with me), but...well. now and then, i want to feel the complete thing and don't insist on one.

as said, stupid, i know, but...*shrug* i am trying to use best judgement, and as was said so nicely, i can also die in a car accident-

it's a conscious risk i'm taking and i'm aware of it. still angers me when people are so "happy-go-lucky"-carefree or uninformed as OP.

OMFG YOU MUST HAVE THE IMMUNE SYSTEM OF A TITAN. But you don't. HIV is not the easiest virus to get, but chances are that you actually do have it since you seem to be so nonchalant about the whole thing. Unless you were tested something like two weeks after contracting the virus, antibodies won't show up on a screen for another couple of months.

  • He didn't tell you? How are you still with him?!

He should be responsible and tell his partners before any sexual contact is made, think with his head and not the one in his pants.

Possibly immune to it which would be lucky for you but you sound like a piece of shit so not so lucky for the rest of us.

  • if it's normal to be gay, it's normal to have HIV too.

On the note Space took, it's not normal that he didn't tell you and it's shows lack of morals on his part if he is that willingly enough to give you a disease.

"Super Duper immune system" It almost sounds like you are in denial. Why risk it more by staying with him? I was reading that there was a clan of Irish people that never got sick from the black plague and their descendants have extremely strong immune systems (no joke), but the chance of that is probably slim so who continue to risk it? Like Neptunian said, you probably already have it. Get tested again.

Your super duper immune system is actually a super duper stupidity system. I wonder who will pay the bills for all the antivirals when you'll come to need them.

It's only a matter of time before you catch it, especially if your attitude is as casual as it appears to be in your post. If this is a serious post, you need to be smart. Take the proper precautions to make sure that you don't eventually contract HIV.

You may have it and it just hasn't killed enough of your immune system to show up in a test yet.

Otherwise, you're still going to get it if you keep going at it. Not worth the risk.
