my mum and dad will not let me out of the house and socialize, they have cut me off from all my friends, the group of friends ive been with my whole life. they refuse to let me speak to them. they drive me to and from college everyday, and it is driving me to two solutions, leave the house and leave their care ( i am 18 years old), the other soulution i dont want to write down.. im not allowed to leave the house on my own accord, and they take me around everywhere with them like a baby, i just want to get them to trust me, but i dont think they will.. can anyone, somewhere, help me?

    What is the other solution you don't want to write? don't murder them with a hatchet in their sleep. They aren't too big on "trust" and "freedom" in prison.

    Secondly, what the fuck did you do? There is definately more to this than is being told. What event triggered their distrust? This shit is anonymous, lets hear it.

      But seriously folks, do you have a relative that you could perhaps stay with? I mean, I understand your parents not trusting you, but to me, it seems they've far overstepped their bounds. You're not a child, they shouldn't be treating you that way.

    yea ther letting me out again.. and the weird thing is that their way of teaching actualy worked. im never going to screw up like this again. i feel like a wanker now talking shit about them here. i love my mum, my step dad though.. meh hes alright. ive found a level of respect for them

    Was it something that u did to break the trust? Nevertheless you are 18 and old enough to be responsible for yourself. . I live in England and here you are considered an adult and can get married and have a mortgage etc, so either way it doesn't sound right....

    they would tell me i hav no choice, i would suggest to stay in the house but they would say they cant trust me, i tried talking to them there now, about letting me stay in the house and allowing me to walk home from school, they said no..i asked how long they plan on doing this, they said a year., i dont think i can last a year, and when i do, if i do, im just going to move the fuck out of this nightmare. i hate them.. and in a years time ill fucking despise them.

    im only 17, there fore not a legal adault, and no im not ringing the police on my parents, ino they only want to protect me, but there method is not going to work, its just going to make me hate my life, everyday im forced to just grind my teeth with the shit they give me. i asked this morning if i could walk home from school today, my mum replied no, you should know not to ask. i feel like this is going to change me.. i cant even socialize with people in my class, cus when im der im constantly ina bad mood because of my home, and wen people talk to me im not very conversational, people must think im a depressing prick, but its not my fault..
    in reply to what happened, i was caught with drugs on a night out. and was arrested. i know i put my parents through aloda shit, but surely there way of dealing with this isnt right?

      I hate people like your parents, they have a shit fit because you smoked some green, fuck me if I was your neighbour I would happily come round and slap them both for you. But I also hate people like you aswell, instead of just sitting there and taking it why don't you try and stand up for yourself and what you believe in. The day my mum confronted me about smoking weed instead of denying it I basically said yes I smoke it every so often, everyone I know has tried it and more importantly it hasn't affected my school work, after that she never brought the subject up again. My mum always let me make my own mistakes and I'm a more independant person because of that today.

    Maybe you need to tell your parents how you feel. And move when you can afford it, but you're still young so you can take your time. There's nothing wrong with spending time with your parents, I'm 20 and still do, but they should give you some freedom and let you hang with friends and stuff.

    And I'm just curious...what's the other solution you were talking about? You can say it, I'm sure people have said worse things here...

    im only 17.. i wrote 18 cus i thot it wudnt get thru moderation, i was caught with weed by the police, that is what triggered it. and no i wouldnt kill my parents haha, the other way around..

      Trust me - this is not the worst thing that will ever happen in your life, so it's not worth dying over ;o)

      If it has happened within the past 3 months just keep your head down and get good grades. Your parents don't really want to taxi you everywhere but they are just trying to protect you from yourself. Any real friends will still be there when you are no longer grounded. After a few months invite a friend over to study (after your folk have strip-searched them) I'm sure they will be allowed in. I sincerely hope that you weren't stupid enough to be carrying this for some waster of a bf!! It's not worth taking the consequences for anyone else. It's bad enough when you get caught for your own bad things.

      You are young - and believe it or not... one day you will all look back and laugh at this (perhaps wryly)!

      Please stay out of trouble and away from trouble makers at least until you're 18. Then you can move out and do whatever you want. I only hope you will have matured by then, and also want the best for yourself - as they do.

    whatever it is you do they cannot keep you from having a life. It is against the law actually. I read on line a news about a very similar situation. There was a kid living with his parents in conditions vey similar to yours, I do not remember exactly what happened, All I remember is the parents got arrested and trialed for kidnapping and false imprisonment.Amongst other things. What are they going to do next? cut you off your food as well?
    The only way you can get them to trust you is by being what they consider to be a good boy. But what they consider a good boy is not very clear is it? well I had the same problem and the only thing that worked in the end has been, giving up on social life. I just could not take all the questions and my mother's worried faces and knowing she was there doing nothing but thinking about whatever I might have been doing or whether I was safe or not and so forth. So I figured that to avoid all these, complications, I just uad to get used to the limitations of my freedoms they imposed, and wait for them to release the leash whenever they were satisfied with the results.
    Turns out they can never be. So I am still here...
    Now they know I am safe and I don't get in any danger, I cannot possibly buy any pot because I would not even know where to go buy it and my social skills are like zero.
    Sooo... Run out on them BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
    Just kidding. They just want to protect you from yourself. Duh. You'd most likely just end up in jail over a bag of weed anyway.
