Is it normal my parents have two of the same model of car?

some people made comments about this but i think they may of just been being assholes to me.

my parents got a ford focus hatchback in 2002. it was mainly for me to drive around but its in their name. Then four or five years later they got another ford focus.

However i still had the first one, i was living in another car. I asked my mom why she got a ford focus and she just said that she liked it. Finally I gave my car back and now they have two focus hatchbacks.

Some people said it was weird that they had two of the same car. But I think these people were probably trying to make me feel bad.

I think its pretty stupid, but i don't read that much into it because its just a car. They're the ones who bought two, so i guess they didn't think it through that well.

IMHO they could of obviously made a better choice but they aren't very smart.

    Maybe they just have the same taste? They must get a long well. I do not see the big deal. If it works for them it works. We really should not judge them on "Mom has red and dad has black jeep". Who really cares? Anyone who does is just being a prick and you should ignore them.

    My neighbor and his son Both have the same silver color Dodge Ram 1-ton, 09 and 07 respectibly.

    If that's what they want, why not. Its really not that different from buying 2 of the same sweater because you really liked it.
