Is it normal my new pants smell like stinky feet.

Last weekend I went to Uniqlo. It's a highly reputable Japanese clothing store. I bought a pair of light brown colored Chino pants and loved them.

Then I put them in the wash and then the dryer. When I removed them from the dryer I was greeted by a horrible smell that reminded me of stinky feet. I know it was only the pants that stink as none of my other clothing smelled thankfully.

My guess is it might be a chemical used to dye the pants. Is this normal?

And more importantly, how do I get rid of the smell?

Did you look at the instructions on the tag before you put it in the washer and dryer?

I am embarrassed to admit I didn't read them. I guess I am not supposed to put them in the dryer at all. My bad!

Lol, I don't read the ones on my clothes either, but if I were to buy something expensive, I probably would pay more attention to that.

Sad to say.... It's not the pants. You smell bad and are just now noticing.

I reckon it's a dodgy chemical, too. Once I bought a sofa cover that smelled like fish, I swear. It was disgusting, but after a wash it was fine.

Read the tag instructions also you could've left them in the washer for too long. Read the instructions and then try to wash them again.
