Is it normal my mum supports her abusive brother

my uncle abused his children and me and my cousins and my mum went to court and got him sent down for 20 years, now the other members of my family have turned against me and my cousins and even my mum wont talk to us even though she helped put him in prison, i really miss her and dont understand how they can support this monster.

    They sound poisonous to your mental health. Sorry to say this but, I'd work out finding people to surround yourself with who are loving and supportive. If they are able to support him that, in my eyes, makes them just as much monsters as your uncle. Think about it, what kind of message are they sending you and your cousins? That its okay for someone to do that to you? That if someone does, to keep quiet about it?
