Whenever she is helping him with his homework she always yells and says things like "Do you know your friends are smarter than you" or "Are you stupid?" and "Do you think you can read good?" and if he says yes she will say "No you are not!Because your friends can read better than you"
So I usually help him with his homework when I have time.I even remember her doing this to me when I was younger so Ive never asked her for help with anything when I was able to start doing this for my self.
By the way he is 7 years old.

    That sounds harsh, that can really crush his self esteem/confidence. Why doesn't she just get him a tutor to help him out if she doesn't have the pattience.

    I grew up around this crap. I got my ass kicked for confronting them about it when they did it to my brother. If I had it all to do over again I think I would do it the same. What helps me best is to remember that parents are people and they are not perfect. Their intentions are probably good even if they are dumb enough to believe that garbage helps.

    Well first of all if your mother is saying shit like, "Do you think you can read good?" Then she is a fucking idiot and cannot speak proper english.

    I'd record the shit on video or something. Does your dad know?

    If he does, well, fuck him too if he doesn't do anything about it.
    If he doesn't know, I'm sure he'd want to.

    Either way there is no excuse for that, I don't care what your reasoning is. If she is overworked, then take a fucking vacation. If it's just stress then there are other things to take your stress out on other than your seven year old son.

    My little brother has been in kindergarten for four weeks, and he's been having trouble. My mom gets irritated when he can't write a B properly. She just gives up when trying to teach him.
