Is it normal my mom disowned my sister for having sex?

My mom somehow found out that my little sister had sex, and kicked her out of her house to go to dad's place and said she never wants to see her face again. I've tried reasoning with her, but she said that my sister should have never had sex at a young age, and after that she pointed out that her hero Gandhi had disowned his sons and anything he did must have been the right thing. I left before she started talking about how the Bible says we should stone people or something. In case you haven't figured it out, she's a bit cuckoo sometimes. While I agree that 15 is probably too young to be having sex, and it would be even worse if she knew my sister had actually lost her virginity when she was 12, kicking her out was not the right thing to do. She said that any mother would do the same thing. I can't do anything about it.

And the really funny thing is, at my sister's birthday this October, my mom said she was so proud of her and had the greatest daughter anyone could ask for. That changed fast.

    Honestly, it was bound to happen at some point. Yeah, she could have been too young, she could have waited, you can argue all you want but it happened and you can do nothing about it now. Your mother should be talking her through this and teaching her what is right from wrong. I'm sure your sister has conflicted feelings. They should talk it through. After all, you can never let go of family.

    Your mom used this as a convenient excuse to send her away...selfish...needs a shrink before she does more damage to your family. Sorry man, bad enough your parents are separated, help ease your sister's emotional pain by talking positive to her and listening.

    She sounds crazy tbh. I know fundamentalist religious nuts have a habit of kicking their kids out of their house. It's a story I hear a lot, kid does something the parents don't agree with so they just kick them right out. It happened to a guy I knew because his mum found out he was gay. Seriously parents STOP KICKING OUT YOUR KIDS!!! It just makes you look like an evil fuck.

    Age 16 is the age of consent (at least here it is) so having sex at 15 isn't really that bad. 12 seems too young but your mom does know about that so she can't be acting on it.

    Maybe your mom was scared that she wasn't doing enough to protect her daughter (kinda thing) and your father would be better at it - this happened to me when I lost it @ 15 - my mom took me to a counselor and then "shipped" me to my dads because "he would be able to better deal with me"

    what a horrible bitch your mom has no right to kick her out what she should do is talk to her about it and be suportive and talk to her about the apropriate age to have sex. and how old was the boy? its normal for kids near the same age to fool around its the way it is. and if she really kicked her out then she dose not truely love her daughters and you should watch your back.

    Its most definitely jealousy, sounds to me like your mom was looking forward to a "vag fest" (vagina festival) with that daughter someday and is real upset someone beat her to the promised land.

    15 isnt that bad of an age, but then again my mum was asking me why i WASNT having sex at 15 and that it was weird... but yeah disowning her is too far, sex isnt a bad thing as long as ur safe
