So, some stonner college boy on this site reminded me of some thing that happened when I was 16.

I awoke one morning and smoked a couple of bowls (cones) as I did every morning. Normally I would hide my weed and bong in my cupboard but I was in a rush that morning as I had a job interview, in my haste I left my gear sitting beside my bed.

When I returned home I was expecting the worst, I had remembered what I'd done and knew that my mom would have gone to my room to make my bed. When I walked in she just said "hello" WTF. When I went to my room I found my bed made and wait for it....My bong and been was cleaned and had fesh water in it and my bowl had saran wrap (cling film) over it!!!
True story, so IIN?

    Haha that would not have happened in my house, back when i was younger and when I used to smoke it I left an 8th in my Jean pockets. I had left myphone, jeans on my bedroom floor as iI was just nipping to the corner shop

    I came home and my mum had put my jeans on to wash, found the weed and thrown it away and sent a text to every contact in my phone which read something along the lines of " if this is the number of the person who supplied my son with drugs, delete this number and block it, shame on you"
    That was how I lost my first 8th and first girlfriend in the same day.

    No its not normal. Your Mother sounds like a saint, be good to her!

    My mother would have confiscated the weed of course. She also would have destroyed a bong or a pipe with a hammer and made me watch when I got home. She also would pull that crap on me with tobacco as well. When I was older and had moved back home after my divorce my contraband would simply disappear so I guess you could say she mellowed with age.

    But seriously, your mother sounds like a gem so please treat her like the rare and precious person she most likely is!

      My mom flushed my weed down the toilet. It was getting kinda old anyway. I've been sober ever since.

        Right on, I haven't partaken of the herb myself in over five years. Money is tight and I've been busy working on myself and my issues. If I were getting baked all the time I would probably think everything was fine and be kinda complacent.

        I guess I'm the rebellious type because whatever my mother seized I always felt compelled to replace and do more of to spite her.

          I didn't have to be told by my mother. Weed was ruining my short-term memory, and I was already pretty absent-minded, making my life and studies just that much more difficult.

    Your mum is cool. My mum would've flushed the weed and ditched the bong and taken me to the local police station for a lecture. (I know this cos it actually happened once upon a time)

    maybe she had a smoke herself and decided to clean it up afterwards! XD. anyways, she sounds like a cool mom.

    ive only smoked a couple of times, and not at home.
    the first time i came home drunk though, my mom was laughing and teasing me about being drunk. she was ok, as long as i didn't drink and drive or anything. my dad was obviously ok with it, he was also drunk that night. also, he gave me the beer! :)

    the only thing that i found to be slightly less than normal about this anecdote is the fact that you did not predict her reaction. I've known lots of parents who were avid stoners themselves, saw it as a healthy thing, and smoked openly in front of their children, even encouraging them to do so. I'm just surprised that you didn't know this about your mom before this point

      long before I was born maybe but not after I would have noticed, she is not the type. I think she tolerates my addictions because she knows how shit my life is and thinks It's all that keeps me from killing myself.
