Is it normal my mom calls me "nigger"?

I'm not black, so I don't know why she would say this, but the other day I brought home some fried chicken for dinner and she said "What are you, a nigger? I specifically told you to get grilled chicken," and she has used this in other contexts as well. She's been very pissed off about black people protesting the whole Michael Brown thing and she's been using the n-word a lot recently (she also called me a 'nigger' once for making a bad grade on a test).

    I was going to say maybe she was using the word in the correct manner however after reading your comment I believe she is just racist. The word actually means ignorant. Your mom is just racist. That's life, we live in America, where free speech is a guaranteed right. I don't believe you have to take it to heart. Ignore the comment you should realize you are your own person and not a nigger in any sense. I am black by the way and my mom doesn't even call me that.

    My mom swears like an old sailor but she doesn't use racial slurs. Around here it's pretty normal to hear but not from your mom! I don't like it... Not a nice word I don't think black people should use it either or " nigga" it's not good. She sounds hateful to use it on her own kid.

    Sounds like she's racist. It's debatable as to whether or not being racist is normal, but that sounds pretty normal for a racist
