Is it normal my legs feel numb after shaving?

It happens to my upper lip too.. the first time I took the hair off my upper lip, I used one of those Smooth Away pads and I thought that was the reason, but then the same thing happened to my legs.

Now I believe it's not really numbness, but lack of hair growing out of the follicles = lack of stimulation. Anyway... normal?

  • Hairs on your body are like the whiskers on a cat, they help you *feel* stuff. When you removed them, you instantly lose that ability to feel with them. That numb sensation subsides as your body/mind adapts to compensate for the lack of hair.

I know what you mean. I get it to an extent when I shave my face. It feels cold and almost like dead flesh to the touch. It's noticeably less sensitive and sometimes I can't even feel that I'm touching myself.

I don't know why this happens (don't even have a theory, which is unlike me) but it does happen to me too.
