Is it normal my joints are killing me

My arms crack all the time and so do my fingers, my toes, my knees, my neck and my back; they also hurt all the time unless I crack them. Ibuprofen doesn't really help unless I take the really strong ones but I try to avoid them since taking lots of painkillers isn't really that healthy. I have a hard time trying to sleep at night because of the pain which is really annoying, I wish painkillers were less harmful so I could just take them and get a good night's sleep.
I know my friend's mum has had similar issues and she has arthritis but I'm only 18 so I can't imagine I have this condition.
I've also had depression and I've heard that it's somehow connected to joint pain but I haven't seen a doctor yet so I'm not sure whether or not this is normal?

This sounds exactly like Joint Hypermobility Sydrome. I have the same things...extreme range of motion in most of my joints, elbows and knees "bend backwards", and ALL my joints crack and pop ALL THE TIME. Along with that is my joints dislocate and subloxate really easily...especially my shoulder joints, usually while I'm sleeping. Go see a rhumetologist to rule out other connective tissue disorders like Ehlers-Danlos, and they will also likely refer you to a physical therapist.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well. I've got a deteriorated elbow in my right arm that I've had 2 surgeries for. I supposedly have neurological problems due to the fact that I had 72 phebrile seizures while growing up. I've got osteoarthritis as well as cubital tunnel which causes both pain, joint popping, and numbness/tingling. I will get depressed from the pain sometimes. Fibromyalgia supposedly causes depression and weight gain as well as IBS. All of which I've experienced. I'm 23, btw. I had my firs surgery at 12 and my seizures from the day I was born til I was 7.

Talk to a doctor about this as soon as you can. We're really not qualified to help you with this here. Also, there are forms of arthritis that 18 year olds can get.

I get pain in all my joints if I eat a lot of stuff with MSG. Stuff like soup ,tuna and Chinese food tend to be real bad for how much MSG they have in them . In some ppl it will trigger migraine headaches .

  • go green, spirulina etc in freshy juice, invest in a squashing juicer, i dont know its name but it has a big screw thing in the middle and crushes doesnt spin (too much heat with these) omit 2 meals with these juices, beetroot carrot apple pineaple, the list is long, then buy magnesium to supplement your diet, lots and lots of greens, no bread and no meat, of course you can go to doctor if you feel its best

    • I lead a balanced, healthy vegan lifestyle if that's what you were talking about. I also get my blood checked regularly and everything has always been fine, so I don't think my diet has anything to do with it.

Are you seriously telling this person to do a juice cleanse to fix their joints? That's not very responsible.
