Is it normal my jaw is off centered! :'(

I think I've started to be aware of my problem of having an off centered (to the left) jawbone since last year. I kept telling my friends about my problem and they always tell me that I look fine and my jaw doesn't look like its off centered. I know that it is off centered from looking at my teeth and that I've seen the dentist before and she told me about it as well. The dentist told me that it can't be corrected unless I have a surgery. Every time I take pictures with my friends, I look hideous and weird, because of my off-centered jaw. Today, when I met my cousin who I haven't seen for about 6 months, realized my off centered jawbone as well. I feel really really sad about my jawwwww :'( and I'm really scared that it will become more and more off centeredddddd!!!!
p.s. and i really wanna know if my jawbone does look very obviously off centered for people who meet me the first time cuz i would look so bad!!!!
plleeaseee give me some advice and comments! thanks

Every one of us sees things we dislike about ourselves few others ever notice.
I really wouldn't obsess about it so much, or you will surely call attention to it.

Chances are that it's not that terrible, especially if your friends don't seem to notice it. You'll be more sensitive about your own appearance than anybody else will. Most people probably won't notice it at all without you pointing it out to them or they will be completely indifferent to it.

If you're worried that it will continue to become more off-centered, then you should ask your dentist about that. My guess is that it's probably not all that serious, but if you're worried, asking a professional is a good way to go!

Until then, don't stress out about it. In general, people will be much more concerned about their own problems to even notice or care about your slightly offset jaw. Even if it was really bad, and I doubt it is, "real friends" wouldn't care at all. :)

Ill bet it's barely noticeable. Ask your dentist if they can do anything about it... But know anytime you mess with your jaw alignment it could end up worse.

My jaw is off-centered...I have other health issues that actually matter though so I don't pay attention to trivial things.
