Is it normal my friend said this?

I was hanging out with some friends, and we got on to the subject of relationships. One of them asked "Hey, don't you have a girlfriend yet?" and I said "No" and jokingly added "no one could ever love me." Then one of my friends who is a girl blurted out "I do!" then covered her mouth with both hands and started blushing. Everyone looked at her. She then quietly said she had to go somewhere and left. I think she looked like she was about to cry. I haven't talked to her again yet. Why would she say that? Is it possible she didn't mean it?

  • You have an awesome friend. I'm saying that because she owned up to liking you in front of your friends. I say ask her out, she sounds worth it my man.

She meant it and is embarrassed now. Please treat her as you used to and it sounds like you could do a lot worse than to give her a chance. She sounds very genuine!

I say you should still be her friend and try to be nice to her. Do not lead her on though, that is not nice.

  • This took forever to go up. I already decided to go with it. I decided to call her and ask if I could come over to her house. She said yes and I told her I'd be right over and hung up. I was quick because I wanted to make sure we discussed this face to face and not over the phone. I arrived and she was waiting for me at her door to let me in as soon as I got there. She lead me in by my arm and closed the door behind me. She was playing with my hand, holding it in her hands and gently wringing it around. She seemed pretty nervous, so I don't think she noticed she was doing it. She said she was sorry about what she said, and I said she shouldn't be and ran my free hand down her arm. She stopped playing with my hand and nervously said "Can I kiss you?" I probably wouldn't have described her exactly this way before, but she is adorable. I was a little tongue-tied at the moment, so I smiled and moved in a little closer. With one hand she interlocked the fingers of the hand she was playing with, and she put the other on my back. She timidly touched her lips to mine and started kissing slowly and a little awkwardly. I pulled her in tighter, kissed her more passionately and she got into it. Then we stopped for a moment, she looked at me then smiled, and we continued. She then pulled me into her living room, made me fall onto her couch and got on top of me then took her shirt off, then we continued. We stopped again, then she unhooked her bra. I quickly stopped her and said we shouldn't go that far just yet, then she paused for a moment and nodded and hooked her bra back. In hindsight, maybe I should have waited until I got to see her boobs before telling her we were going too far, but I wasn't thinking of that at the time. She said that's what she loves about me, how I show consideration for others, and that when she said she had fallen in love with me she meant it. I tried to say something, I'm not sure what, but I guess I was nervous because I couldn't get the words out. I think she was hoping I would say I love you too but I didn't manage to say anything. She smiled, put her shirt back on, and asked me if we were going out for lunch.

I'm going to thank the friend who asked me that question next time I see him.

I know I'm way late to post about this but this made my day and I will reread this whenever I have a bad day.
