Is it normal my friend refused to take a shower?

Me and my friend went to a concert. It was a rock concert so naturally there were mosh pits and and people were all sweaty. So by the end of the concert we were covered on other peoples sweat(i know, it's disgusting). When we got home we fell asleep. The next day I took a shower right away but my friend refused to. She was walking around all day like that. Personally, I think it was gross enough that we didn't take showers when we got home. I don't know, what do you think?

It's pretty gross, but I wouldn't ditch her. Does she usually shower? If not than she's really gross...

I don't understand how someone can live in their stale, sweaty skin! For me, a shower every day.

Some people believe that dried oil and sweat on the skin protects it from air born fungal conditions which can be very unsightly so such people either only bath once a week or shower lightly. Maybe she has a skin infection like psoriasis in her groins and shower water would make it worse or the soap you have available would irritate it. These days there are shower creams such as Sanex which are supposed to protect the skin against infections that the natural body oil would have protected had it not been washed away ! We live in a funny world.
Now regarding your friend. It is unpleasant to reek of sweat in front of others but other than this and if she looks and feels clean, I do not think I would worry too much. Perhaps she washes her face, feet and privates and thinks this is enough and maybe it is, who knows.
My point here is that all the "yuks", "eeows" and "grosses" and other expletives that some people post only reflect their views but they are not constructive. People do things for a reason. Your friend may be afraid of showering or she may have many other reasons for not showering at your place. It's for sure she did not refuse in order to annoy you. She may be just lazy or starting her period or reluctant to get her hair wet or afraid of getting "Athlete's Foot" from your shower floor or, indeed, afraid of spreading her "Athlete's" Foot on your shower and possibly your feet.
It is not a good idea to allow people to condemn friends unless the differences have been discussed and agreement is impossible due to stubbornness so my advice would be put this behind you until a repeat and then you can ask her why.
