Is it normal my first period brown

This morning I went to the toilet and did my toilet stuff I looked in my underwear and found a thick brown I ignored it and changed my underwear and went on with my day that night I went again once again the goo I told my mum I thought it was my period and she gave me some pads I was not sure if it had anything todo with the color of my under wear so I checked the pad and it was red later I checked it again and it was brown what happend

    Wait so you checked your underwear and found some goo that was thick and brown and you ignored it?? You weren't the least bit concerned?? Well other than that..It's pretty normal.

    It's fine, my first period was a small brown stain and it was a tiny amount, sometimes when periods first start for a girl/woman, they will be brown usually.

    Brown in color usually means it's old blood. Specially if it's thick and goo like (as you say) it could be a blood clot. Which tends to happen. It's nothing to worry about. During your period, your body will release anticoagulants that keep the blood fluid and thinned. However, if your flow is extremely strong, the blood may pass before the anticoagulants can work. In this case, the blood may clot as it is passed. If you continue having blood clots bigger than the size of a quarter you should see a doctor.
