Is it normal my family won't do work if i'm not there?

My family is one of people who aren't lazy, but they only work when I'm there to basically be their mule. It's a constant thing.

If I'm too sick, not avilable etc for any reason they literally will not do anything.

I don't know why, but they do.

I thought of this being posted under the peeves section, but since my entire family does it, I put it here.

    I would simply not come around anymore and let them do nothing on their own.

    No. That sounds like a weird situation. They sounds dependant on you. As another user has said, stop coming around. Eventually, they'll have to do the task. That or not do anything.
