When I look through my left eye while keeping the right eye closed, everything will seem more blue-ish.
When I look through my right eye keeping the left eye closed, everything will seem more red-ish.
And when I look normally with both eyes open, the blue and red colors appear to balance out and give the true color.
Is this normal?
I've wondered this before too. My eyes do the same thing. I hope this gets approved because I'm now curious if everyone sees this way.
My guess is because it's near impossible for there to be an exact evenness of cones and rods between each eye.
Therefore each eye would seem slightly different, on the same person or not.
How fun!
Mine don't do that; both eyes see the same colours.

I have the same thing. The difference (for me) is subtle, but there. I just suddenly noticed it one day and mentioned it on a message board... and it turned out it's true of a lot of people.
(I am not color blind in any way.)
Perhaps you are color blind in one eye. While generally color blindness might come from a gene I have heard of some people losing partial color vision through damage of eyes.
Sometimes It happens to me too. I've noticied this when lookig at grass as well.
I have a similar thing, mostly noticeable if I look at grass.
Tried to do it now to find out what colours I see differently but it's kinda dark here.
You sound like you might be color blind. You can become color blind sometimes if you get in an accident or it is inherited. There is also partial color blindness. Where you only see certain colors and not others.
