Is it normal my docs don't know what these shocks are?
This is hard to explain, but I've been to doctors, chiropractors, neurologists, etc.
Once in a while, I will get episodes of light "electric shock" sensations through my head, tongue, down my neck and arms, into my fingertips. It is brought on either by just moving my head left or right, OR just moving my eyes. It feels like I've been electrocuted with a very low voltage. The episodes are only a split second, but ALL DAY for up to a month. My doctor was like "IDK what that is, it'll go away in a month, I'm guessing." (YEAH, VERY COMFORTING)
So, as a reaction to the zaps, I become severely anxious and have anxiety attacks, then it goes deeper into my already-present depression. It makes me want to just close my eyes forever. Before, it happened after getting sick for 5 days and losing a lot of weight, which, in turn, made me malnourished and whatnot. It went away in a month, and now, all of a sudden (and, mind you, I'm perfectly healthy now) it's back and seemingly worse.
Other factors (because Google decides to play a role in everyone's decisions): I battle with anti-depressants, but I've gotten the shocks BEFORE even being on ANY. I just recently stopped Effexor because it's causing more harm than good. I stopped that about 2 weeks ago. I don't do drugs. I eat regularly, and take daily walks for at least 30 minutes a day.
