im a 17 year old girl, recently my dad bought me a pair of high heel boots. they are pretty, but i didnt ask for it or anything, when i asked him why he got it he said he was happy with my grades in school and wanted to give me a present. im not sure i entirely believe him bcuz this isnt the first time something like this happened. in the past he also bought me a few dresses and bras and he always compliments me on how pretty/beautiful i look no matter what im wearing or if i have on makeup or not. i know he always pays attention to my body and height bcuz he usually comments on how tall i am (5'8") even tho hes 5'10 so he says i inherited my height genes from moms side of the family. i actually noticed he kinda sometimes enjoys standing next to me when im in heels bcuz maybe it makes him feel short and he likes that, idk. its kinda strange to me. and a couple years ago when i was 13 i was immature and talking to my friend on the phone about her bra size and my dad came into my room and overheard part of our conversation. i was just insecure about having small boobs but he told me they were "perfectly fine". i still am basically flat chested but i caught him staring at my boobs a few times. idk what to think.

    I can't tell whether he's actually creepy, or just being awkward honestly. Either way, if he's making you uncomfortable then talk to him about it.

    I think your dad just wants to let you feel good about yourself. He thinks he knows what a 19 year old girl wants (apparently in his head that is high heels and dresses). I am of course not sure. I don't think the heels and dresses, compliments and stuff is weird.

    I do think it is weird he stares at your boobs.

    he sounds like he wants to build your self esteem, he wants you to feel good about yourself. We are not there to see the whole body language thing, but from what you told us it sounds like he thinks that you think youre not beautiful and he wants you to grow up knowing you are beautiful

    Is there more to this story? This is not creepy. If he wants you to just wear the boots and nothing else, that might be a little creepy.

    It's a bit weird I think. He could ask you what you like and get you that instead of clothing. Has he done anything more? Can you remember?

    I see no mention of your mother. If she's not in the picture for some reason, then i'd say he's possibly just trying to be involved in your life. If your mother is in the picture though, then its rather weird, because most dads would leave buying your clothes to the woman. Keep in mind also, that the majority of fathers do find their daughters physically attractive at certain ages, but that is no reason to believe that he's actually interested in getting sexual with you.
