Is it normal my cousin wants to make me the aunt of her child?

Ok, I know it sounds a little weird, so I will explain. My cousin and I have always been close, like sisters. I've always been an only child, so my cousins have been like my siblings. Now that she's pregnant, her and her partner want to have their child call me Auntie. I'm really thrilled at the idea, and of course it has nothing to do with creepy incest. We figure this might seem weird, but we can be the first ones to do it! They are also making one of her best friends an Aunt too. I just was wondering how others think about this after my explanation.

    I had an "aunt" who wasn't related to me. It's normal, it just means they really care about you if they want you to take a family position like that.

    When my son is old to even to say it, he's going to call my best friends "auntie" and "unky" just like he will his real aunts and uncles. They all call him their nephew.

    Plus, I call my mom's cousins my aunts and uncles because they're way older than me and it just seems disrespectful to call them by their first names because of the age difference.
