My brother, 16, sleeps on the couch in the den instead of his room. My mother has a problem with this because he plays sports and he stinks up the room. He usually refuses to go to his room to sleep, Everyone else goes to their room. Is this normal for teenage boys?
my brother does this, he is 18, and suffers from bipolar disorder, so i always put it down to that.. but maybe its a teenage boy thing? this is so strange because my brother plays sports and he stinks, my mum is forever telling him to not sleep on the sofa, but he doesn't stop.
There's got to be something wrong with his bed if he is refusing to sleep in it because I don't think that is normal. Why would anyone actually choose a couch over a bed to sleep on?
Maybe an animal peed on his bed or maybe he did. You should do some investigating.
Haha this must be a guy thing! I slept on my floor for almost 2 years... When I had my own bunkbeds right beside me. sounds normal to me!
I was afraid of my bedroom growing up and well into my teens. It was just something about that room I couldn't stand. I slept in my dad's bed until I was about 9, then on the couch in my brother's room until he kicked me out. Then I spent a few years on the livingroom couch. No fear of the dark or of sleeping alone. Just of that room. There are many theories as to why a particular room can make a person uncomfortable. In your brother's case it may not be a fear so much as a feeling of unease that keeps him from getting a good sleep.
I did the same thing at that age. Was more comfortable there, partially it was a habit from crashing on peoples couches at parties. Though I always showered at least once a day so I didn't stink. lol
yes my brother did this too untill he got a tv in his room and still sometimes hed sleep on the couch
