Is it normal my brain doesn't tell me when to stop eating?

To avoid confusion, here's a few details about me:

- Male
- 21 years old
- 5'8", 139 pounds
- I've been eating five times a day for the past seven months (Three medium-sized meals; two small-sized snacks)

About three weeks ago my best friend invited me to dine at a buffet. I had several plates of food (mainly seafood, vegetables, and noodles), yet by the end I didn't feel full. Another thing to note is that whenever I bypass my sugar, sodium, or protein intakes by a bit (I almost always follow the daily recommended value for each), I eat an excessive amount of food afterwards. Yet again, I don't feel full. Depending whether or not there is an occasion, I may feel guilty.

I'm not worried about becoming fat because my usual eating regimen balances out all malnutrition, but I'm worried my body will always prioritize satisfaction over stomach capacity, hence ignoring all signals from my brain.

So, is this normal?

I think you might be slipping into compulsive over-eating. Just a thought

I read your post slightly wrong, but my suspicions/advice about tapeworm/parasites still stands.

It might be a parasite. You said that this started after eating seafood. You didn't specify what type of seafood it was, but if not properly prepared foods like, sushi, can cause people to get parasites (Tapeworm, etc). Parasites live off of their host and steal food from them. This often causes the host to have an insatiable hunger because his body isn't getting any food. You must see a doctor! Don't procrastinate on this as parasites can be deadly and many have died from them.

I once heard a rumor that they add chemicals on certain foods that inhibit your satiation sensation so that you keep on eating. It was supposed to be a super-duper checked fact from a super-super reliable expert, but I never knew if it was true or not.

Yes I heard that too, I think it may be some kind of Government Conspiracy. To fatten up americans. So there we'll be a population decline. And they can get rid of the ones they deem useless.
