Is it normal my boyfriend is always flustered around my gay brother

My boyfriend of 1 year and I share an apartment while we go to highschool, and my brother who is 3 years older comes over and spends the night sometimes or just hangs out for a bit as we are really close.
When he comes over my boyfriend always acts really strange, he blushes bright red and flexes his muscles or just generally says flirty things to him.

My bf is really into lifting weights and working out so my brother asked him to help him learn, so we all went to the gym. My bf was teaching my brother how to do squats with weights and my brother pressed right up against him while doing them and my bf got a rock solid hard on from it.

He swears he is completely straight and obviously really loves women, he tries really hard around my brother because he's nervous about being accepted by my family and he just wants to make a good impression. He never had a dad or any siblings so he just isn't sure how to create a bond. He always says the fact my brother is gay makes him kind of uneasy as to how to act around him.

Is this normal?

    It is pretty normal for straight guys to act weird or show off in front of gay guys, because they know on some level they're being judged (just like how they might be around a girl). It has nothing to do with wether he's attracted to your brother, just that he knows your brother is judging him in a different light.
    He might be attracted to men though. Getting a hard-on from any physical contact is pretty normal for straight guys. Just try to rely on how you feel instead of those facts alone, cause might not be pointing to anything.

    It's pretty clear that the way you're describing it makes it sound like he's sexually attracted to your brother. Like, if he got a "rock solid hard-on" (somehow whilst working out, and you somehow saw whilst he somehow presumably tried to hide it), then clearly he sounds attracted to your bother.

    But who knows. He could be sexually confused. He could be so afraid of being gay that he's thinking about it so much it's actually having the opposite effect.
    It's difficult to tell.
    So talk to him about it, and it's probably best to go with your gut.

      That was the thing, he didn't try to hide it what so ever until I pulled him to the side to tell him, then he just claimed he didn't know.

      He's been able to pull out an excuse for everything even when I've spoken to him extensively on it.
