Is it normal my boyfriend feels "complete" without me?
I've been in a long-distance relationship for four years. Yesterday my boyfriend, somewhat out of the blue, said that he didn't used to feel this way but now his life feels "complete" without me, and that he doesn't need me to be happy. We only see each other a few times a year, but over the past year he has grown less interested in talking/chatting/skyping, and thinks that my "needy" tendencies (...like wanting to talk maybe just a couple times a week at least?) are only due to my circumstances (moving to a new city with no friends, parent passing away, etc.)He's always said he wants to marry me someday (we're both graduating college students), and when we see each other we get along great, but whenever he says something as seemingly uncaring as the above I get confused. Is this kind of emotional independence (for him) in a relationship normal, or is this maybe a sign he's just not into me anymore?
