Is it normal my boyfriend does this...

My boyfriend dislikes kissing, touching, hugging and holding hands. When we watched tv, we only watched tv, no cuddling or kissing. He held my hand when we were in crowded place and when we go swimming at the beach. We kissed, we hugged, but it happened really rare.IIN?

He sounds like my girlfriend. Some people are not over demonstrative. I hope you able to accept it. I have learned how to. And Kelili above always talks sense....

    I wish you well.

Does his name happen to be Sheldon Cooper by any chance? :P
But seriously ,this doesn't sound very normal. I dunno, that may just be due to the specific parameters of your relationship, but by most accounts, this lack of physical displays of affection isn't normal. Then again, maybe there's a reason for this. Bring it up with him maybe?

There are certain phobias/mental disorders that give people a fear or hatred of being touched, my sister has that. Maybe he has something like that. You should talk to him about it.

It all depends on his age and how long you two have been together. Although, he could have some issues when it comes to being affectionate and that could pose a real problem down the road. If it bothers you that much, I would find another guy who is affectionate with you. There's plenty more fish in the sea.

He will open up if you let him. Everyone needs time for some aspect of a relationship..
Best thing to do is to talk about it!
    I believe so anyways.
    Hope I helped?

I'll elaborate. Unless you are young teens, forget the rescue fantasy and wondering why he is a cold fish. You are missing the point: he IS a cold fish. And you better start thinking about what you want. Because if you want love and affection and kisses and caresses he's not going to deliver. Cut your losses.

Honestly, I had a boyfriend that did this and he turned out to be gay... so it's a possibility. Or he could just have physical contact issues, some people do! Either way it's not terribly "normal" and you should talk to him about it to try to figure out the issue.

It could be do to a lot things like child abuse. It would be best to ask him why he does this.

I'm going to say it isn't normal. It doesn't matter if a person was new to those sorts of things, its just that those types of actions are expected when you're in a relationship. I too think that if you haven't already, try to get to the bottom of why he doesn't like doing those things because it would be frustrating if you couldn't show affection like you wanted to. It just doesn't feel right if only one person is making moves like that.

Why you being so lovey dovey with him? It could be his first relationship or something, or you're just making him uncomfortable.

I don't know if it's normal but it sounds like he's had a ruff past so ask him about that if your really serious with him
