I have a friend that I met last year. We really hit it off. But I've started noticing that if I don't talk to her for a day she'll call my house, message me on FB and DM me on twitter. I've just had it. I just bothers me. I don't know what to do.
You're probably her only friend and she really appreciates that. Sometimes it can be a bit creepy... but don't do anything drastic or mean.
I had the same kind of problem with a girl in high school, she had health problems and no one else would be friends with her, and whenever I was away from school for more than a day she would bombard me or my family with calls or texts, and when I got back she would cling to me and never leave me alone, or beg me to go on days out with her when I said I was busy.
Tell your friend straight up that you need space, if you want her as a friend do it gently but make your point clear. I made the mistake of being too harsh and now she utterly refuses to talk to me. So good luck :)
Talk to her. But if you only wanna keep her as a friend, don't let her get any more attached. Keep your intentions clear at all times.
It has happened with me too.. difference is, I'm in the poor girls place. It could ruin her life, be very cautious.
She just wants your attention.
But if you're really having enough, tell her that you have other friends too, not just her.
Wow seriously you need to get a grip. Your friend isn't obsessed with you thats normal. Especially if your like one of her only friends. Maybe she considers you guys as super close so she doesn't think her wanting to talk to you everyday bothers you but it obviously does. If you were a real friend you would just tell her that sometimes u want to be left alone and that you you guys dont need to talk every single day to be best friends instead of thinking she's obsessed with you. You obviously dont know the meaning of the word.
If you're annoyed with it, ask her politely to stop. If it keeps happening, ask her more forcefully, and if she keeps doing it, threaten her with the good old, "Were not friends anymore if" blah blah blah. If she keeps doing it than just tell her how annoyed you feel and how she's been acting up lately.
She might have a crush on you, she might just want to have a friend to talk with, who cares. It's completely normal to get fed up with someone keep pm/dm-ing you on something like twitter or facebook, or skype.
