Is it normal my 10yo sister looks up porn

I had found out that my younger sister looks up porn before but i had already told her to stop cause i think at that age she should not be looking at that stuff and i let her go without telling my parents.

Now i have found out in the internet history that she has looked up porn again so i do not know if i should tell my parents or have another chat with her. Cause last time she did this i said for her to stop or next time i would tell my parents. So please comment i need help.

i know it's too late since you already told on her.

still, even though she's younger than you were, it's simple curiosity. It's not unusual at that age.

Also, neither your father talking to her nor people telling her she's too young or doing something wrong will put out that fire.

She may be "afraid" of looking it up in the internet at home, but she'll still be interested.

So while my suggestion would have been to have a talk with her as accomplice yourself instead of involving your parents, now you can at least try and make you she is not "alienated" from you and your parents in that respect.

While it may feel weird to offer to and maybe end up talking about sexual things with your little sister, it'll be a LOT more preferrable over her finding the answers she's looking for from her friends, "friends" or other people.

If she can't get answers at home and it's a taboo thing, she WILL turn elsewhere...

What she is looking at might be giving her some unhealthy ideas of a woman's role in society. If you love your sister, then you wouldn't want her to grow up thinking she is supposed to act like girls in porn or perform sexually in order to be popular.

She's a bit young. It might be normal. Or it might be a sign that someone is abusing her. Tell your parents.

Seriously. Blocking things isn't the answer, this isn't BREIN or something.

    Teach her a "lesson" (:

No but really, she's just curious.
    Let her be.

    tell your parents.

sure she'll rant and scream that you're ruining her life or whatever other drama...

but they're paying for her meal ticket so they have a right to know what she's doing online

Thank you for that. And thank god my sister is smarter then to scream and whine.

Well she doesn't know yet but i know that she would probably just stare at the ground while they talked with her.

perhaps now's the time for them to put passwords on the computer and only let her on when she's being supervised...

normal, kids that age start getting curious about sex. Don't be hard on her, it might have negative effects on her later in life. Maybe just sit with her and explain the whole sex thing to her, unless your dad has already done that.

I think it's normal in a way. I didn't look at porn when I was that age, but I suspect that's simply because it was as available. Despite conventional wisdom, I don't think it's necessarily harmful for young to watch porn, though I do think it would be good if she had someone to talk to about what she's seeing in a nonjudgmental way.

It's pretty normal, most kids do it.

I don't think that you should tell your parents. That might just make her feel guilty and ashamed. You should talk to her about the reality behind porn.

I told my father and he already knew somthing was up since he had seen her drawing picture of naked people, so he had a chat with her and he did not freak out or make her feel ashamed. But he had not been aware of her on the internet looking up porn. It has worked out and he is glad i came forward with this. And told me he will take care of the rest so i am relieved and happy that i did not let this become out of hand. And thank you everyone this was really helpful to me.

Yes, that is normal. Kids look at porn. They know they aren't supposed to, that's the whole reason why they do it in the first place. How old were you when you first viewed porn? If anything, you should teach her how to erase the history so that you don't have to know what she looks at. Nobody likes a tattle tale either.

I was fourteen. And i had already matured to a point in which i understood sex and the reasons for it. My sister is only ten and i don't think she understands sex fully. You see my mother homeschools my siblings so she has not been properly educated on the matter. So i think she should know now what she is doing is wrong at that age due to the fact that she is still imature. Infact after i watched porn once i was disgusted with it and i never went near it again.

        Well, that is certainly understandable.
