My 14 year old son is going into 9th grade, and so far he isn't interested in girls. Whenever I ask him he just shrugs it off and avoids the conversation. He hasn't shown any remote interest in either girls or boys, but he says eventually he wants to have kids.
Excellent, he is on a good path. Creating a family should have nothing to do with sexual desire.
Maybe he just doesn't want to discuss the subject with you. Why not just observe from a distance to see how he reacts with people his own age.
What your 14 year old needs is an older, patient, looser skinned, more experienced lover to teach him how to have sex.
When I was that age I wasn't that interested in boys or girls in the way you're talking about (I assume) either. Never really grew out of it much.

Maybe he's just shy about it, or he's confused about his sexuality. He's only 14, so I wouldn't really worry about it yet. He'll figure it out.
Maybe he is gay, maybe he is Asexual, maybe he believes there is more important things than getting a 14 year old girl pregnant and auctully going to college. Maybe you should just get off his back already. If he isnt hiding dead bodies anywhere in the house, and raping people or killing animals for joy he probably is not doing much harm. So leave him alone. While getting a girl pregnant at 14-17 is common it does not mean its a good idea. At least you wont have to worry about him dropping out and going on welfare since he could not keep it in his pants.
Get a book of hot erotic stories. As long as he jerks off, you have nothing to worry about.
Not all boy's reach puberty at the same age. Not that puberty is when you get urges. Let him develop at his own speed. He will either like girls or boy's. Nothing you can do about it.
