Is it normal mouthwash makes my throat tight?

I have noticed sometimes when I use mouthwash I become breathless as though I've walked up 10 flights of stairs .

It does go away after a while but it's causing me problems and it makes me worried.

Is this normal or am I allergic or what?

It sounds like an allergic reaction. It could be the alcohol. I suggest that you see a allergist and in the mean time stop using that mouthwash. It doesn't take long for allergies to develop and get worse. The fact that it makes your throat tight is very concerning. Keep anti-histamines like benedryl on hand.

Many mouthwashes have alcohol and/or fluoride in them. I would suggest avoiding them and - if possible - getting tested for allergies to various chemicals.

Then again, you could be allergic to another chemical found in mouthwash that I've not listed.

Maybe you have an allergy, I would not continue to use it. Anything that disrupts your breathing or tightens up your throat should be avoided. Floss instead! Its good for your teeth and gums.
