Is it normal most couches seem way too low for me?

I'm not THAT tall (5'7) but most couches seem awfully low. I feel like I'm folded up! My knees are all up in my chest.

    i guess and im 5'10 tall
    for me its sitting in the car
    cause my knees rest on the dash

    I am 6'4 so everything is low to me. I even lowered my Honda to make it feel like what I am accustomed to. JK, but everything is low to me.

    I'm not bothered by height, but depth. (I am short.) Some couches swallow me whole. The back is so far from the edge that my legs end up straight...I look like a child.

        Nothing that dramatic. If my feet are flat, my back has no support. If I sit with my back were it would logically go, the enge of the couch hits just below the bend of my knees. That makes my feet not touch. So I usually sit with my legs folded under me.
